Mom and Dad got married?

Louisville Ink

Today, Mom and I went down to Tattoo Charlie's so I could get some ink!

Just kidding!
This cool horse tattoo is only a temporary one...

And I'm very glad it was just temporary!
After I thought about it,
I decided I didn't like that horse being stuck on my arm
and Mom washed it off.

Grandad Has A Happy Birthday

Did you know that yesterday was Grandad's birthday?
Booboo and I went to his house
to make sure that he had a very happy one!
And thank you very much for my special tool box!
Mom said that the pictures of me and my tools
are on Memaw's camera so we have to get them from her soon.

Family Fun Fourth of July

On Friday, Dad asked for my help with some things in the garage.
He said the whole big Kentucky family was coming over
and I decided I would help by making sure the driveway was mowed.

Then Saturday came and everyone got here and there was lots of food!
But the only problem was that Mom put the salsa on my tray,
but the chips were way on the other side of the table!!!
Can you believe that??

After we all got some NUM,
it was time for my favorite summer treat...
POPSICLES FOR EVERYBODY!

And then Cousin Gus decided to start the wave!

And then Cousin McKena joined in....

And then it was MY turn to do the wave!
(Which was a good thing because I had to fix my shorts too...)

After we did the wave,
we all sat down on the steps and enjoyed our popsicles.
Mom said Boo-boo could have one next year.

Dad built a big huge fire later.

I sure did love running with everybody in the yard and
picking up more stickies for that fire.

I think Cousin Gus had a good time running around too!
Look, he even got a touchdown!!

I sure did enjoy having the whole big family to play with!

And when Grandma Joyce was showing
some soccer moves to McKena and Gus...

I showed Grandad some of my own fancy ball footwork!

But then it got very late and everyone had to go bye-bye.
I sure did have a very good time and
was sad to see everyone leave...
Thanks everyone for coming to my barbecue and
having so much with me!

Boo-Boo Misses Out

The other night I told Boo-boo that we were going
to have dinner at my favorite restaurant with Memaw and Grandad
so she shouldn't fill up on her toes.

But do you know she didn't even listen to me and
she kept eating her toes all the way up until we went bye-bye??

But I was a very patient fellow and
was happy to wait to get some chips and salsa!!!

Plus I even got to sit next to Grandad and Dad
and I had a whole taco to myself!!!

I think when Boo-boo saw that she missed out
on all the nummy good food on the table,
she was very sorry she ate so much of her toes!
I guess she'll have to wait a while before she gets her own taco.

Cheeeeeese!

I even bring her the camera and say cheese!

I Love Mail

I love getting mail!

Mom and I always check the mail right after my nap
and it's my favorite part of the day!!

I always take my time and look through all my mail.
But someone needs to tell these people
my name is spelled RILEY not RESIDENT.

We Have a Big Storm

When I woke up this morning,
Mom said that I couldn't watch cartoons OR even have pancakes
because a big tree made our power go out last night!
But after the electric people fixed our power lines,
Dad and I went out to look at all the stickies that
had blown around in the big storm.

Can you believe the wind blew
this big branch right off of one of my favorite trees?!

This big branch used to be way up in the air where I couldn't ever reach it,
and now here it is down on the ground and I'm taller than that branch!

Well, I'm taller than some of that branch.

And would you believe that this was another big branch off
another one of my favorite trees?
Dad said that it was a very big storm that blew our trees apart!
But the bright side is that Dad said we could have a big fire
to burn all these stickies and that I could roast marshmallows!
S'mores, anyone??

The Return of Captain Riley

On Sunday when we went out to the boat,
the first thing I did was feed the ducks some ice.
Since Aunt E's BARK-BARK's liked the ice so much the day before,
I knew for sure that the ducks in the river would like it to.

Then it was time to be a little goofy for a while!!

But after I goofed off for a little while,
I got down to some serious business and
was showing everyone how I would protect
my baby sis against pirates! ARRRRR!

Yep, everyone sure is lucky to have such
a brave fellow like me around!

Backyard Adventures

On Sunday the whole big family all
went over to Aunt E's and Uncle Steve's
for some bubbles and to play with their BARK-BARK's.

Cousin Gus and I also played a round of golf.
I'm sure next time we'll have our own golf cart to use.

I even tried to get one of the BARK-BARK's to play with me....

But he had other things to do.

But that was okay.
It was time to join Cousin Gus and Cousin McKena on the slide.

We all took turns zooming down very fast!

We also had some food that was very NUM!
And do you know that I am so good at sharing
I even shared my ice with the BARK-BARK's?
I think they appreciated the cold ice on the very warm day!

I even got to feed Aunt E's fish!

Thank you for the very good time!
Boo-boo and I sure did enjoy it!

I Take Time to Stop and Smell the Flowers

I sure do love smelling flowers!

Especially these pretty orange ones...

They don't smell quite as good when they lose their petals,
but that's okay.

It's just nice to be able to take time from my busy schedule
and smell the flowers...
even if I do get stuff all over my nose after I smell them!
