We Get Ready for Dad's Birthday

Yesterday, I wanted to make Dad
a birthday card for his birthday today!
I grabbed my crayons and
asked Mom to help get me started.

She got me a piece of paper and
I told her what I wanted on the card.
It says, "Happy birthday to the best dad in the world!"
And then I put my own decorative touches on it.

In addition to the card,
I also wanted to make Dad an original finger painting
for him to frame and put up in his office!

But then Booboo wanted to make one too
and she started marking on MY artwork.
I told her that the white paper was MINE
and the pink one was hers.

Since Booboo marked on my masterpiece
and I wanted Dad to have one from just me,
Mom got me another paper.

But then Booboo had to put her touches on that one too!!

I told Mom that Booboo was helping me too much
and would she please just let me do ONE painting by myself.
So she let Booboo play in her activity center.
Booboo wasn't very happy about that.

Finally, I was able to complete a masterpiece all by myself!

Uh, Mom...
That painting was fun,
but it's all over my fingers and toes!!!

What a very fun time!
I got to make cards for Dad AND get bubbles!

I'm very excited that Dad's birthday is today!
Happy Birthday, Dad!
There's lots more in store for you!

I Support Higher Education

Since school started again,
I decided I would help Dad prepare.
I figured that since he was going to be a
Master in Counting that we could help each other
since I am trying to learn to count too!

First, I made sure that Dad had some crayons to take notes...

Then I had an idea....

I decided that I would go with him and take my own notes.

Yep, Dad's backpack is just the right size for me and my crayons!
I think I could even fit some paper in here too!

Okay, Dad!
I'm ready for some higher learning!

I Make My Mark

I am getting so good drawing and writing with crayons!
Look - you can see at the top left I even made an R like in Riley!

I was very proud of my artwork
and Mom told me if I had drawn on a piece of paper
instead of the wall she would have hung it on the refrigerator.

A Day at the Fair

This weekend, I got to go to the fair just like I did last year!

But last year Booboo was in Mom's belly and
this time she got to see all the stuff at the fair too!

When we went to look at the animals,
I learned that cows are a lot bigger in person
than they are in the books that Mom and I read.

I liked watching the bunnies eat their NUM.

And did you know that they had eagles at the fair?
Everyone else kept calling them pigeons, but I knew better.

They also had chickens and ducks there too!

After we saw all the animals,
we went to the midway place and
Dad conducted business with this carnival man
to get me a stuffed animal!

There was so much to do and even more to see!!!

But did you know that even in the middle of all that excitement,
I just had to catch a quick snooze!
But, when a fellow needs to rest, a fellow needs to rest!

And even though Booboo got to take a nap
while I looked at the chickens,
she still looked a little tired
at the end of the day from all the fun!

I'm sure next year, we'll get to ride all those rides too!
Yay for the state fair!

Popcorn and a Movie Night

I love Friday nights!
Friday nights mean popcorn and a movie!

Mostly, I like the popcorn....

But the only thing about Popcorn and a Movie Night
is that the popcorn never lasts as long as the movie.

Training for Team USA

I love watching the Olympics and
am excited to be part of Baby Team USA!!
My first gold for Baby Team USA was for the upside-down-one-footed-peekabee-on-Dad's-back.

Then I got another gold in the
upside-down-tip-toed-peekabee!
It was very fun to have Booboo cheering me on!

She only got the silver in upside-down-peekabees
because she didn't go all the way upside-down like I do
and because Dad had to help her.
But I'm sure next time, she'll get the gold too!

Next it was time for the balance beam!

And I got a perfect 10 while balancing on Dad!

My backward dismount secured the gold!

And then of course,
Mom says I always win the gold for being goofy!!

But, now it's time to grab my shades
and carb up for beach volleyball.

I'll catch you dudes later!
Time to win another gold for Baby Team USA
and to check my voicemail for an invitation
to join the big Team USA in 2012!

I Make a New Friend

On Saturday I went to the zoo with my new friend, Isabelle.

I thought she was very cute so I waved "HI".

I think she thought I was pretty cute too
because she gave me some baby love!

After we were all done at the zoo,
we had to go our separate ways
but we made plans to see each other again soon!

Thanks for going to the zoo with me and for having so much fun!

More Fun With Cousin Gus

Cousin Gus got to come hang out with me again
and I tried to tell Mom that we were very busy fellows
and to quit interrupting us by taking so many pictures.

But she kept following us and bothering our playtime!

Even when we were being very quiet and trying to read
she tried to get us to say cheese!

But even with all those flashes in our eyes,
we had a very good time and got to act as goofy as we wanted!

Two Peas in a Pod

I'm hiding and no one can find me!!

Peekabee!!
Here I am!

I like sharing everything with Dad,
especially his shirts!

Sitting in the Daddy Chair with the Daddy shirt covering my feets
is a good way to relax and watch some TV!

Yep - my dad and I are just two peas in a pod...
actually in a shirt!!
