I Have a Party

Because my birthday is tomorrow,
Mom and Dad wanted to throw me a big party
to celebrate turning 2!
I had a great time because I got
to eat whatever I wanted and
and all my big families were there!

Mom made my special birthday cupcakes
and everyone sang Happy Birthday!

Then I made a wish and blew out the candles!

I got to have my very own cupcake...

And then I shared one with McKenna!

After I ate a whole bunch of yummy stuff,
I was ready to see what was in all those bags
and boxes that people brought.
But first Mom had to get the Cheetos off my fingers...

Everybody watched me open my gifts!

And Aunt Katie helped get my toys unstuck!

McKena really enjoyed helping me with
the paper on all my presents!

But I think Booboo got a little mad
since she didn't have anything to open.

She just had to watch me and McKena open
stuff because Mom said that she would
try to eat the wrapping paper if she helped.

I was so happy to have all my favorite
people there!

Even Mom wanted to play with some of those toys!

Mom tried to get to be still for a photo op,
but there was just too much to see and do!

I'm so glad all my friends and family had
a very good time at my party!

I sure did get some fun toys!

But toys weren't all I got,
I even got books and clothes too!

After everybody left,
Dad and I played our own Happy Birthday songs
on my new drums.

And I think we sounded GREAT!

Then it was time to relax in my comfy chair
and reflect on what a good time I had.
Thanks everybody for coming to my party!!!!

Chef Riley

Today I got to help Mom make
some Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies!
This recipe called for 2 eggs
which I happen to have right here.

I was getting ready to dump them
in the bowl just like I did the sugar,
but Mom told me we had to get
them out of the shells first.

After we baked them,
I turned from Chef to Food Critic.
And that's very serious business.

First I wanted to check for softness...

Then it was time to try one....

Yes, very chocolaty.... very soft..... very oatmealy.....

Behold!
The best Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie I've ever had!
We did good, Mom!

Dad better get these to work quick
before my piggy eats all of them!

Cousin McKena Comes to Play

On Friday night, I was very excited to have Cousin McKena
come hang out with me!
I showed her my airplane and taught her how to fly.

I think she really enjoyed all the flying lessons!

And then we watched SpongeBob SquarePants!

And did you know that while we were watching that cartoon,
Mom was getting something special ready for us?
It was time to paint the ornaments Mom and I made earlier!

But I think McKena liked painting herself more...

Dad opened up all the paint for us.

And Mom gave us some design tips.

McKena loved using the glitter glue on her ornament.
Pink was her favorite color glitter!

But I think purple was her favorite color paint!

And whenever we dropped some on the floor,
Booboo got to play in the paint too!

After we finished our masterpieces,
we got to have some popcorn and watch Frosty the Snowman!

I made sure to give McKena lots of baby love.
Thanks for coming to play with me!

I Get Behind the Wheel

Right after our naps,
Mom and Dad loaded us in the car
and took us right to the Kroger!
I was pretty excited to get in this racing cart,
but Booboo wasn't too sure.

I told her to grab the wheel,
but she left all the driving up to me.

As a matter of fact,
she mostly just closed her eyes and held on tight!

She didn't even pay attention when I tried to
point out all the food that I liked to eat when
I was just a baby.

But I'm a very good driver and a very good big brother,
so I drove both sides of the racing carts.

Yep, I'm a natural at this driving stuff!

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas

I was very excited when Dad told me this weekend
that we would be getting our Christmas tree out!

I was a very big helper!

Since this was Booboo's first Christmas tree,
I made sure I explained how it all worked.

I helped Dad make sure that all the lights worked....

And then Mom helped us put ornaments on...

Booboo and I had a lot of fun getting out all the decorations!

And I do mean ALL the decorations!

And then when we got done decorating our tree,
I helped Dad put the top on!
Now I just need to find the stuff that goes under the tree....
