My First Nine Holes

After that very long trip,
Dad decided that it was time to do some driving of a different kind.
We went to Shadow Ridge Golf Course to play nine holes.
Dad and I studied the holes on the score card before we started.

Did you know that the golf cart had room
for all of our drinks - even my bottle fit perfectly!

Here I am on the first tee box - a par 5!
It was very far to drive that ball,
so Dad said he would take the first swing.

It sure was a nice golf course with lots of trees and
lots of blue skies!

Since I don't have PGA approved golf clubs yet,
I just drove the golf cart while Dad played.

I also helped him keep score.

Last hole!
Dad and I showed this golf course who's boss!

Can't wait til I get my own clubs next year!

I Learn About My Southern Roots, Y'all

On Saturday, we all loaded up and
met a whole bunch of people at the Hattiesburg Zoo.

I didn't know that my Great-Granny was going to be there!
This was the first time I'd ever met her!

My Great Aunt Debbie was there too!
I'd met her before and was very happy to see her again!

And then I met my cousins that were the kids of my Mom's cousins!
Here I am with Payton, Aidon, my Great Granny and Cousin James.

And here Mom is with her cousins Kim and Kandise
and my Uncle Ron.

And here's my whole big family on Mom's side.
There's Uncle Ron, Aunt Katie and James
with me, Mom, Dad and Memaw and Grandad.

After we took bunches and bunches of pictures,
we all went to the zoo to see the animals.

Well, we wanted to see the animals after a little snack.
I sure do love Puffs.

See that zebra?
I pointed and pointed and talked to that zebra,
but he never came over.

My cousins and I also rode the carousel.
I decided that I really didn't like my horse, though,
and got off that ride.

After the zoo fun,
we headed to my Great Granny's for more family fun.

I sure did enjoy spending time with my cousins!

Plus, I got to meet my Great Aunt Selita!
It sure was a day full of family fun!

There's No Place Like Home

Today when I woke up,
Dad told me that this was the last time in the car seat for a while.
I gave him a big THUMBS UP on that!

We all packed up our things from the hotel room,
and had a very big breakfast where I even got to taste apple juice!
It was very NUM.

After our breakfast we loaded up and drove and drove.
Pretty soon, we saw that we were back in our home state!

But a fellow has to eat a second breakfast after waking up so early.

When we got back in the car,
we saw that we were still very far from home,
but much closer than we were when we started!
I decided it was a good time for a nap and
told Mom and Dad to wake me up when we got there.

Home, sweet home!
We made it back safe and sound!
I was very happy to see my room and the critter again!

What a good first roadtrip!
And thanks to all for all the hospitality.

I Go Trick or Treating

Today started out not so good for me.
I was stuck in baby jail for a little while this morning.
I sure do hate baby jail.

Mom suggested that I take a nap this afternoon
because I had a very exciting evening in store for me.

After napping, it was time for an early dinner.

What did you say, Mom?
Tonight is Trick or Treat night??

Yay for me!
I sure hope somebody is giving out Puffs!

I suited up and let Dad strap me in my car seat.

Pretty soon, we were walking up to my first Halloween house!

When we rang the doorbell,
my friend, Miss Janet, opened the door!

She had a ton of candy for me!
Wait.... Dad... What do you mean this is yours?

Oh, the animal crackers are mine?
Okay!
Animal crackers are NUM!

Thanks for being my first Halloween house, Miss Janet!

After we left Miss Janet's house,
we went to Memaw and Grandad's house.
Look at all this Halloween loot just for me!
And there's even Puffs!!!

I inspected my loot, then told Dad it was time to venture out!

Mom, Dad and I went to a bunch of houses and
everybody loved my costume so much they gave me a ton of candy!
But where are the Puffs?

Grandad and I handed out candy to the other kids.

Memaw and I played with pumpkins while we waited
to pass out more candy.

After we gave out all the candy,
it was time to go inside and play and play!
Dad pushed me on this scooter about a hundred times!

What an exciting day!
I fell asleep in the car on the way home
and didn't even wake up when Mom changed my jammies!!!

Thanks to everyone for making my first Halloween
a very Happy Halloween indeed!!

Dry Docked

Today I paid a visit to Memaw and Grandad,
and guess what?
It was my boat here at their house!
But where's the water?...

I can almost reach the throttle...

So, Grandad, are we gonna hook the trailer up
and take this to the river?
Don't you need to get your truck?
Want me just to wait here?

What?
I'm dry docked??
Well, this was fun and all,
but I think next time I'd rather have the water too.

After I played in the boat, it was time for lunch and some inside fun.
See how I'm the boss of this chair?

Hmm.... last time I was here, this was a lot more fun...

Good thing I have all this other stuff to play with!

Thanks for the great visit!

My Favorite Sunday Game

There's a lot of football to watch on Sundays,
but my favorite game is playing peekaboo with Dad.
