Dad Turns My Pumpkin into a Jack-O-Lantern

Today, Dad told me we were going to cut my pumpkin all up!
I had to get a good picture of me and
my first pumpkin before Dad took the knife to it.

Dad cut this big hole in the top and
Mom started scraping out all the pumpkin guts!
And take a look at my baby sister!
She's the same size as my pumpkin!!

After Mom scraped all the guts out,
Dad drew a face on my pumpkin.

Then he cut it all to bits...

After he was done,
Memaw put a candle in my new Jack-O-Lantern!
I liked the way the face glowed,
even though it was a scary face that Dad put on there...

After all that hard work,
it was time to play and play!

Then Memaw gave me a surprise!
She said that everyday starting December 1
I would get a present in this snowman all the way up until Christmas!

But it's only October!
So I showed this snowman who's boss
and practiced a few karate moves...

After Kung-Fu fighting that snowman,
I decided to go for a ride with Dad.

Dad pushed me very fast all over the place!

I love this scooter!!!
I rode and rode all over the place before we went home.

All that riding can make a fellow work up an appetite.
I suggested to Dad that we share his popsicle.
I took a bite....

Then I let him have a bite!

We finished my very busy day by taking my Jack-O-Latern
outside and lighting it up!
Then it was bath night and time for bed.

What a fun day playing and transforming my first pumpkin
into my first Jack-O-Lantern.
Stay tuned for more Halloween fun!

I Get a New Ride and More

Guess what?!
I got a new carseat!
Mom said we had to put my old seat away for Baby Sis.
That was fine by me,
because I was getting too big anyway!

Looks like I'll have lots of room in this new seat!
It feels a lot more comfortable too...

But the best part of getting my new ride
was that I got a new fort too!

Yep, just me and my animals...
Hmmm... seems kind of lonely...

C'mon in Dad!
There's plenty of room!

Much better!
What a great new ride AND a great new fort!

Double Digits

Hello to you!
Did you know that I turned 10 months old today?!

That means I'm this big!!!

I think it's going to be lots of fun
being in the double digits...

But I have a feeling that sometimes
it's going to be hard work too...

Happy 10 months to me!

I Get Invited to a Birthday Party

On Sunday morning I woke up from my nap
and smelled something yummy!
Mom told me that we were going to a birthday party
and she made these yummy pumpkin chocolate chip cookies!
I even got to try a bite and they were "NUM!"
Plus I got to eat all the leftover pumpkin!

When we got to the party, I put on my party hat first thing!
But then I looked at Dad and thought,
"That's not my camera!"
Sure enough, Mom said she forgot my camera so
we had to use a disposable one!
These pictures would be a lot better if she
had brought my camera.....

But anyway, here I am with my Great Uncle Terry.
The party was for his grandtwins and my second cousins,
Addison and Nolan.

Here they are! It was their very first birthday!
But Cousin Gus has better pictures of them than I do.
Did you know that they got their very own cake to eat!?
I only got a small bite of Dad's....

Here's Dad with Cousin Gus.

And Aunt Steph was there too!

Cousin Gus and I played and played
until it was time for the twins to open their presents.

I told them I would be the official "Toy Inspector"
to make sure that everything worked properly
and had the batteries installed correctly!

Thanks for the invitation, Cousin Tara!
Hope Addison and Nolan can make it
to my birthday bash in just a couple of months!

Taking Steps Toward Taking Steps

Did you know that I've been practicing walking?
Usually Mom or Dad helps me, but now I have this great toy!
All I have to do is hold onto it and I can walk all by myself!
Dad says it great practice for the mowing the lawn,
but we'll see about that!
Besides, isn't that what baby sisters are for?

I Go to the Pumpkin Patch

Today, Mom, Dad and I took a long ride up to Indiana!
I napped in the car and when I woke up,
I discovered I was at a place called Huber's Family Farm.

When we got out of the car, I saw all sorts of big tractors.
I couldn't believe that we were all going to get on one!

But we sure did!
We sat on this tractor and we rode and rode over a bumpy trail.
We passed ponies and sheep and donkeys and apple trees....

When we got off the tractor,
I found that we were in a very big pumpkin patch with tons of pumpkins!!
But before we started our search for the great pumpkin,
I decided there was no better time or place for a picnic lunch.

After I had my picnic lunch,
Dad and I spotted this big pumpkin for me!

It was ten times the size of my baby head!!!!

I liked it but we decided to look around a little bit more.
OH LOOK DAD!
There's the perfect one right there!!!

Yep!
We found our perfect pumpkin!
Dad told me that I could help him carve it later.

I sure did enjoy my tractor ride and time in the pumpkin patch!
What a very nice day for an outdoor adventure!

I Kick It Zoo Style Again

Memaw came over today to go to the Zoo Party with me.
Mom got my tiger costume out and
said that this time I would have whiskers just like real tigers!

Shhhhhhh.....
Mine are just drawn on...

But I don't care if they are just drawn on!
My whiskers look as cute as me!

I was on the prowl in the parking lot
while we waited for Dad to get home from work.

Here I am with Mom at the entrance of the Zoo.

Did you know that the Emerald City was in the Zoo??
Memaw and I found it after we went down the yellow brick road.

They also had a treasure ship, too.
There were some pirates around the ship,
but I decided not to get my picture with any of them.

After a while, it was feeding time at the Zoo!
Tigers have to keep their strength up when they
play so very hard like I do.

And then guess who I saw?!
It was Aunt Keiran!!
At first I didn't recognize her because she was
dressed up like some French fries.
She told me she was volunteering with UPS to hand out candy.

Did you see how dark it got?
It was getting way past my bedtime!

After another big adventure,
it was a very good time for a cat nap..

Hanging with Dad

Did you know in the mornings after my breakfast,
I always help Dad get ready for work?
I like to untie his shoes for him and hang on to his pant legs
and sometimes I keep him company while he shaves...
Well until Mom tells me, "No babies in the bathroom!"

She can try and boss me all she wants but
with Dad behind me I'm not scared of anything!

I love when Dad comes home for lunch.
Today, he brought home a magazine with all sorts of houses to look at.
I pointed out the one I'd like to move to next.

And then when he gets home from work in the afternoon,
we play and play all night before my bedtime.

Yep, I love hanging with Dad.
And, Dad, I know my hands are tiny now,
but someday they'll be as big as yours!!

"C" Is For Cookie

Yum!
When Mom was at the Krogers last time,
she got these teething biscuits for me to chew on!

They taste very good and are very messy...
my favorite combination!

Those teething biscuits are
yummy yummy yummy in my
tummy tummy tummy!!!!!
