Boy's Night In

Good morning to you!
My day started out early when Mom, Dad and I
headed to the great outdoors to take a walk.

I love my new wheels!
They're great for popping wheelies!

Hold on to your toes!
Dad's about to put this thing into high gear!!

After we put my new wheels through a vigorous workout,
we went home and I played and played the rest of the day.

After a while, Mom started to get all dressed up.
She said she had to meet some important people for dinner.
I decided I would stay home and hang with Dad.

Before Mom left,
I had a good photo op with my Great Aunt Bebe.

I only got to see her and Memaw for a little while though.
They drove off in a big hurry after just a couple pictures.....

After Mom left, Dad gave me my bubble bath and
washed my hair with lots and lots of shampoo....

Then we dried me off and I went to bed....
eventually.

Yep, I had a good boy's night in with Dad.
Next time, Dad said we'd stay up late and watch movies and eat pizza.
Looks like Mom had a very good time too.

I Almost Have a Very Bad Day

Tuesday started out just fine.
Memaw came to pick me up and we went to the doctors.
I had such a good time playing with my
new best friend there!

Did you know that the baby in the doctors office
had the exact same toys as me and even looked just like me?
We played pattycake for a while and laughed and laughed.
You could tell I was the boss of him
because he copied every single thing I did!

SHOTS????
Wait just a minute!!!!!
This was NOT on my agenda for today.
At least I only got 2 this time....
But they still hurt and I yelled and yelled at that nurse.

I was very mad at mom and
gave her dirty looks the whole ride home.

But then Dad came home for lunch to see me
and he sure saved the day!!
Daddy is my hero!

Since I'd almost had a really bad day,
I even got a very special bubble bath before bedtime.
(Although I don't recommend eating the bubbles...)

So after I washed my toes,
I decided to take a long nap for the rest of the night.
Yep - it was ALMOST a very bad day,
but sometimes things turn out okay after a little while!

Cute Me

Would you believe I turned 6 months old on Sunday!?
Here's a picture of me when I was just a little baby.
It was taken in the hospital when I was just 2 days old!

I just keep getting cuter and cuter!
Thanks to all my family and friends who
have been there for me these last 6 months!

Love you!

A Campout Adventure

My Campout Adventure started on Thursday night when
I stayed with Memaw and Grandad.
Mom and Dad went out to see a king or a lion or something.
You can check La Bean's blog for that stuff
since she was in Mom's belly and she had to go with them....
But as I was saying MY adventure, which I'm sure was a lot more fun,
started with a trip to the sink since it was bath night.

MMMM.... Riley Soup!
Hmmm... I think it needs more bubbles...

When I woke up the next morning,
I had to make sure everyone got their cardio workout.
I made Grandad chase me all over the big bed.

Then I went flying and flying....

I also got to play in my activity center and
strengthen my baby legs since I know I'll be walking next week.

Yummy yummy breakfast time!!!

After I ate breakfast, I went back to my house
and had a meeting with some of my staff.

My campout sure was fun!!
Can't wait til the next one!!

Hail to the Chief

Riley for President!
My mom and dad got this shirt for me
when we went to the East Coast last year.
I was in mom's belly then so I don't remember it.

Dad says I'm too young to run
for president now, but just wait until next year!
And I've already got my campaign poster!!

I don't think anybody would be
able to resist this cute face!!

I Have the Best Daddy in the Whole Big World

My Daddy and I do everything together.
This weekend, we went for a walk in the park with Mom.
Dad decided that it was time for some
new wheels rated for higher speeds.
After we got my new stroller,
he helped me put it together.

We had to put my new wheels to the test so we jogged
over to the basketball court to shoot some hoops.
I was on defense.

It'll be a lot more fun playing offense
next year though.

We also had a very good Sunday.
Mom and I got up early and made Dad a very
big breakfast and then we went
to the swimming pool at the big boat.
Daddy says I'm a very good swimmer.

I kicked and kicked and swam and swam.

All that fun is very hard work though.
I sure do love my Daddy and I'm
very glad I could make him have
a very very good Father's Day Weekend!

I Take My Boat to Open Water

The first part of my high seas adventure
was to get slathered in sunscreen
so my baby skin wouldn't get burned!

Daddy said he would be my depth finder
and temperature gauge since my boat didn't
come equipped with those things....

After we established that the depth and temperature
were perfect for cruising, Daddy loaded me in my boat.

Where's the throttle on this thing?
A little help, Dad....

That's much better!
Full speed ahead!!

Mom said it was usually a No Wake zone
that we were in, but since no one else was in the pool,
I got to go very fast!

I think I could probably even beat
Grandad in a race with my new boat!!

AHOY!!!
It's definitely a Boater's Life for me!!!!!

I Pay a Visit to Cousin Gus

I thought today was going to be an ordinary day
so I started the morning with some tummy flying exercises
and a baby obstacle course.

But then guess what happened?!
Cousin Gus got his mom to call my mom
and they talked and scheduled a play date.

Wow!
Cousin Gus, your play mat is A TON better
than the sheets my mom lays out for me!

I was so excited to see Cousin Gus
that I squealed and squealed!

We hadn't seen each other in a long time so
we sat on the couch and caught up on our baby lives.

I even gave Cousin Gus a great big hug!!

But I don't think he liked it
when I tried to eat his head.

After we played and played, I had to go home and
have some sweet potatoes! YUM!!
Just think Cousin Gus,
soon I'm sure we'll be having lots of food fights!
