I Go to the North Pole

This morning I woke up and Dad didn't have to leave for work!
I was very happy about that and
we played hide and seek all morning long.

After we played hide and seek, Dad and I went to the doctor's with Mom.
Then we met Memaw and Grandad for lunch.
While we were all eating, they told me I was going on a journey!

And I sure did! Look at this!
We went all the way to the North Pole to see Santa Claus!!

Mom and Dad said that I could sit on his lap
and tell him what I wanted for Christmas.
But, I wasn't too sure about that.
Well, actually, I was sure that I didn't want to,
so Dad said he would sit with me.
Mom has to scan the final picture that the Elves took,
but it was a pretty good one.

I'm very glad I got a chance to tell Santa what a good boy I am!

Bye Santa!
Next time you see me, I'll be a whole year old!

Memaw, Grandad and I took our pictures with Santa's big tree!

Are we done with pictures yet?

What an exciting trip to the North Pole!
When we were back at home, I put my jammies on and
got ready to play and play!

But maybe I'll just rest my eyes for a second first...

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

Dad told me today that we had some
Christmas and birthday shopping to do,
so he bundled me up and we headed out.

I thought that in between stops would be
the perfect time to catch up on some sleep.

I'm sure glad I did because after we were done shopping,
we stopped in to see Memaw and Grandad.
Memaw was all decorated for Christmas and
she had this polar bear and penguins that sang and danced!
Dad and I danced right along with those animals!

Then I found a Santa's sleigh that was
just my size hooked up to this reindeer!

But, actually, can we get Bailey to pull this thing
because this reindeer's not going anywhere...

After I found that Bailey didn't want to pull the sleigh either,
I went to have some Cheerios and play with all my toys.
But what's this? A Christmas bag? I wonder what's inside?...

Hey, Memaw! Is all this for me?

Guess what? It was for me!!
Memaw's friend, Miss Kim had brought
some Christmas presents just for me!
Miss Kim gave me some bath boats and
even some very warm towels!
I couldn't wait to try them out,
and I was very glad it was bath night.

These bath boats are great fun!
And they even taste good!

These are definitely my new favorite bath toys!

Thanks, Miss Kim, for my bath boats!
My rubber ducks can even fit on the big one!

I Turn 11 Months Old and Get a Visitor, Too

Would you believe this was me 11 months ago this very day?
Look how small I was, especially in Dad's hands!
But I've grown and grown and am very much bigger now!

And the day was even more special since
my Aunt E came over today.

I got to show her all my toys!

Plus I even showed her a couple books of mine!
I like reading books!

Dad got to show Aunt E how I love being upside down and tickled too!
It made me laugh very hard!

Thanks for a very fun play day, Aunt E!

After Aunt E left, I was very thirsty and
decided to share some of Dad's Mountain Dew.
I sure do love doin' the Dew!!

Suddenly, I felt a burst of energy
and asked Dad if we could play Horsey.

It was a very wild horse, though
and I almost fell off!
I held on for dear life and then Dad said it was time to take a break.

Boy was he surprised when I let him know that I wasn't at all tired
and I didn't want to take a break at all!

So we played and played some more!

I sure do love playing with Dad!
He's NUMBER ONE!

My First Thanksgiving Weekend

I had my first Thanksgiving Dinner yesterday and
did you know that I even got to sit at the grownups' table?
But, Mom, I don't think I'm supposed to be ON the grownups table...

Memaw and I had a talk about the story of Thanksgiving.
Do you see my turkey I made?
It's my masterpiece that I've been working on for a while.

After we had dinner with Memaw and Grandad,
we went to see Grandma D.

I was going to take her one of my hand turkeys,
but Mom forgot it.
I thought I would draw one for Grandma D to show her what
they looked like anyway.

Then we went home and my friend Keiran came over
for some turkey too!
She stayed until past my bedtime,
but I had very much fun with her before I had to go to bed!

This morning, Mom said that we had lots of leftover turkey to eat,
but I had Puffs on my mind instead!

And I tried to have some leftover candy from Halloween
that Grandma D gave me.
But Dad caught me and said that it was actually his candy.
I guess I'll have to wait until next year to have some.

But one thing I didn't have to wait for is Cheerios!
I had my first ones today and they are just as NUM as Puffs!

My first Thanksgiving Weekend is going very well and it just started!
Mom told me that Dad is going to be home all day for two whole more days!
I'm sure more Thanksgiving adventures are coming soon!

Master Chef for a Day

Today, Mom and I went over to Memaw and Grandad's.
Mom said we were going to have a very big meal tomorrow,
and that I got to help cook it!
Now where is that frying pan??
I know it's in here somewhere...

Oh, you're ready for a mixing bowl now?
Okay! How about this one?...

Memaw and I stirred and stirred and mixed and mixed all day!

But every once in a while,
I'd stop cooking and play a musical interlude for everyone.

And a fellow still has to play with all his toys, too!

What a day!
After all that cooking and playing, I had to take a rest!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!!
I know I can't wait to dig into all that good food,
and give thanks for all the good stuff in my baby life!

Hey, I'm Walkin' Here!

You'll never guess what I've been up to lately...

I decided that it was time for me to start walking!

Dad gives me instruction on his lunch breaks...
I'm still a little slow, but I'll be running in no time!

Whew, all this walking is hard work!
I think I'll take five and rest these little baby feets!
