My Three Day Holiday Weekend of Fun

Let me tell you about
My Three Day Holiday Weekend of Fun...

It started off Friday afternoon when Daddy came
home early and we all had lunch with Memaw and Grandad.

Memaw got me my own seat so now
I can play with my toys AND
sit with the growups while they eat.

Mom and I love when we can have lunches with Daddy!!

After we got done eating lunch,
Mom and Daddy left me with Memaw and Grandad
and I got to go hang out on the big boat!
Daddy told me he had to see a guy about horse
and they went to Churchill Downs.
Daddy said next year, I'll probably be riding those horses myself!

The next day, Mom and Daddy loaded me up
and we went for a long walk around Iroquois Park.
Aunt Elece and Aunt Keiran went with us too!

You can see I was pretty tired after all that walking,
so we all went to Steak and Shake for some lunch!
Mom said we used to go here a lot when I was in her belly,
but I don't remember that.

I played and played the rest of the day
at home with Mom and Daddy!

Then on Sunday,
Mom and Daddy took me to the river again.

YAY!
Captain Riley is back!!!

Grandad and I talked for a long time
about the charts and currents and the depth finder
and when I'd be able to ride the jet ski.
He said I probably could ride that jet ski next year.

But for now, I'll settle for flying...
WHEEEEEEE....

Daddy is so silly!
He loves to tickle me and make me laugh and laugh...

Did I tell you I made some new friends?
Joe and Maggie came all the way from Atlanta to see me!
Joe has an important job down there,
but I was still able to teach him a few things...
He's a good learner!

After all that playing, I had to rest for a while.

But I woke up ready to play and play!

Here I am with the whole crew on the bow of the big boat.

Later, I helped Memaw make lunch for everyone.

Speaking of lunch...
where's mine, please?

It was time to go to bed and
I got to sleep on the big boat for the first time!

Grandad put me underneath the captain's wheel
in case I wanted to take us all for a midnight cruise.

Where is that generator switch...

Just kidding!
Grandad said I'd probably have to wait
until next year when I'm older to drive the boat.

I woke everybody up early and
Mom and Daddy and I headed for home.

I almost had my first bite of McDonald's Egg McMuffin too,
but Daddy had already taken it out of the bag.

Yep,
I just never know where I'm going to end up when
they strap me in my carseat!
What a fun time.


Mom also said the reason for My Three Day Holiday Weekend of Fun was because it was Memorial Day. She said we all need to remember those who don't have their Moms or Daddies or babies or someone special with them because they served our country and didn't come back. Please remember them in your prayers when you go to bed.

Happy 5 Months to Me

Guess what??!!
I turned 5 months old today!!
Happy Birthday to ME!

The day started out by me updating my blog.
I had to write about my balloon.
It popped later, but I'll get another one soon!

Then I took it easy in my swing for a little while.
Playing with Mom all day sure does wear me out!

Look! Here I am in my birthday suit!

When Daddy got home,
we all went for a stroll outside.

My swing at home isn't nearly this much fun!
I need to get one of these and SOON!
It made me laugh and laugh.

Daddy even joined me on the swings for a while.
My feet don't touch the ground like his do yet,
but at the rate I'm growing, they will soon!

I liked it better when Daddy was pushing me though...

Then it was tub time!
I sure do love the water!!!

After relaxing in the tub, it was bed time.
What a full day!
But Mom told me the best thing...
I get Daddy for three whole days in row!
YAY! Stay tuned for more adventures!

My First Balloon

I've gotten used to car rides now.
Car rides usually mean adventures and
this ride was no exception.

I had lunch with Mom and Memaw and Grandad.
PLUS I got a big red balloon!

Hey?!
Where did my balloon go?
I must have dropped it....

OH BIG RED BALLOON???
WHERE ARE YOU??

Maybe I can find it if I sit on Mom's shoulders...

YAY! Found it!
Thanks for the great lunchtime company, Memaw and Grandad.
And I still have my balloon to play with.*
*Under adult supervision... (Mom made me add that.)

You Wouldn't Believe How Big I'm Getting

Yep - I'm sure getting big!
I get to hang out with Daddy and
stay up all night and watch TV....
or at least I get to stay up until my bed time....

Look at me!
I can even stand up by myself.
With the help of my jumper...

Would you believe that I can sit without
even being in my big boy chair now?

I hear the girls like a fella with good balance!
And who could resist this cute face?!

All this growing can make a fellow sleepy.
Yep, I sure am getting bigger....
BUT - I don't think I'll EVER be too
big for afternoon naps.

Rice Cereal

Here we are trying the rice cereal with a spoon again...

Don't worry, Mom!
I can do it fine by myself!

At least, I think this is how mom was doing it...

Kind of a gooey texture, but all in all,
I'd give it a four and a half star rating.

Success!
Daddy, looks like you'll have to start
sharing your steak and potatoes!

The World Is My Toy Box

Mom and I both are finding out exactly how long my reach is getting!
Everything I can reach I just know was put there for me
and that means it's mine!

Hmm... I just know I left my lion
- or something -
in Mom's purse... I'm sure of it!

Hey - Mom's ipod!
I'm sure my lion would love to listen to it too!

What's this?
Must be a new a chew toy for me...
(At least I thought it was but Mom took
it away right before I got it in my mouth.)

Yummy!
I love grapes...
At least I'm sure I will when I get some teeth.

I'm sure that I've heard of edible flowers before...
Yuck!
Those flowers must not be made of plastic!

I think I'll give Daddy a call at work...
MOM? What's the number??

Just wait until my arms get a little bit longer
and my legs get a little stronger...

I Have Another Adventure and Mom Forgets the Camera

I had such a good adventure with my
Aunt Elece and Uncle Steve yesterday!
I took them plus Mom and Daddy to the river
and we had a cookout with
Memaw and Grandad on the big boat!
It was lots and lots of fun, but GUESS WHAT???!!!
Mom forgot my camera!!!
Please! Please! Please!
Don't ever do that again, Mom!!

Thanks Uncle Steve and Aunt Elece for coming to play with me!
Next time, I promise I'll make sure Mom has the camera!

My First Haircut

Guess what this is?

It's my HAIR!!
Daddy played barber when Mom went out for a little while.
Boy was she surprised when she got home!!

I almost made it 5 months without a haircut,
but it was getting in my eyes and I didn't like that!

Just as cute as ever, aren't I??
Daddy did a great job!

Everyday Is An Adventure

The day started with Memaw coming over to play and play
with me while Mom went out for a while.

I'd had so much fun in the morning,
I decided to take an afternoon nap.

The only thing about afternoon naps though,
is sometimes I wake up in a different place than where I fell asleep.

But it turned out to be great because
I was with Memaw, Grandad and Mom
and we all got to eat lunch on the river.

Boy, it was so hot, my hair went totally flat!
Mom even took my shirt off and let me go almost nakee butt!

Lunch was definitely the highlight of the day because after that,
we went shopping.
I kept asking Mom:
Are we done yet?
How about now?
Where's Dad?
Are we done?
How much longer?
When are we leaving?
When's Dad coming home?
When are WE going home?
Can I have something?
When are we going home?
Can we go now?
Will Dad be home when we get there?
Are we done yet?
>SIGH<

All that running around makes a fellow tired...

But sometimes, it can make a fellow very MAD!!!
I wanted to stay up and watch American Idol too...

Well... maybe I'll just have a little snack...
and rock for a little bit....
